Tell us a little about yourself
I am an eternally optimistic and positive person with a great love for food, travel, netball and a Noughties playlist! I am a Mum/Step-Mum to two teens and a toddler, so my house is always very loud and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

What do you do at WorkTripp?
I’ve joined the team to look at customer onboarding and support to ensure that anyone looking to book a WorkTripp has a seamless experience from start to finish. I am available to help with any initial enquiries about how to get started with planning your WorkTripp and am also happy just to have a chat about any future needs or current challenges your team might be facing.

You've got a really exciting background in Talent Development and Hospitality. Tell us a bit about how the two connect for you?
I am very much a people-centric person and so both roles have allowed me to fully embrace this. My early experience within hospitality really laid the foundation for my expectations around exceptional customer service and I firmly believe that whichever way you cut it, customer service runs through any role - including Talent Development. My experience in growing and developing teams helped me to discover my passion for this field. It is all about preventing and solving problems through recognising opportunities and working with the ‘customer’ to drive success.

What are the main challenges currently for people working in Talent Development?
  • Re-defining ‘professionalism’ for the entire workforce with particular consideration for the Gen Z population (more on this here >>> Gartner, 2022)
  • Creating moments of intentional connection in a hybrid world and integrating this new way of working into their people development (more on this here >>> McKinsey, 2023)

What do you get excited about when you think about getting people together and helping them develop and connect?
I feel very lucky to have experienced hybrid working, I get to have my cake and eat it too! I love being home for the school run and having lunch with my husband on a work day. But I also really enjoy getting to go into the office a few times a month to see my colleagues and connect on a face to face level. The tricky part is ensuring that when we do make it into the office we aren’t tied up on video calls all day! I therefore love the idea behind WorkTripp giving teams the opportunity to really optimise on the time they have together by bringing in specialist resources where necessary, taking on adventurous challenges and taking the time to connect in a way that boosts long-term productivity - all whilst staying in one of the stunning locations on offer! What’s not to get excited about?!
